Take a Skill-Acquisition Approach to Behavioral Progress Monitoring

Most progress monitoring in schools primarily tracks challenging behaviors. But real progress is best measured by understanding what skills students have in their repertoire, when they can use them, and under what circumstances. The Emergent Tree Progress Monitoring Tool provides multiple measures to view student progress, generalization of skills, and independence levels so schools can make informed decisions about supports and intervention.

Has your staff experienced any of these challenges with the typical process for behavior progress monitoring in schools?

Data collection is time-consuming

Data collection is cumbersome & time-consuming

Teachers have a lot on their plate. Additional expectations of individual student data collection is often overwhelming. The Emergent Tree Progress Monitoring tool provides a low time-requirement solution that fits into typical classroom practices.

Data Tools arent aligned

The data tools you have aren't well aligned to student needs

It is true that each student's social, emotional, and behavioral needs are unique – which has led to the creation of different data tools across campuses. Our aligned approach to progress monitoring provides individualized data for each student.

Require training to implement

The tools require significant training to implement

Some behavioral data tools require significant training to collect accurately. But most schools needs teachers and paraprofessionals without specialized knowledge to collect student data. Our simple tool allows for detailed data with minimal training and onboarding.

The Emergent Tree Progress Monitoring Tool Supports Your Behavior Intervention Efforts.

Using an evidence based-approached called Daily Behavior Report Cards, our progress monitoring software tools help schools measure and analyze student skill acquisition, generalization, and independence through a simple four-step process:

  1. Define Behavior Goals in concrete, measurable ways.
  2. Identify desired replacement behaviors.
  3. Set clear criteria for student mastery.
  4. Share progress graphs with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders.

We provide student data in multiple formats to help guide your decision making process. The Daily Average Line Graph & Behavioral Interval Graph are just two ways we help you gain insights into student behavior and progress across time.

Staff Support Needs

Staff Support Needs

Our unique approach includes data on staff support levels to help you better determine staffing needs and the generalization of skills across settings. Scatterplots drive more proactive delivery of behavior interventions.

Intervention Fidelity

Intervention Fidelity

Lack of student progress due to inconsistent delivery of intervention becomes clear through the quick statistics bar - illustrating how often intervention was delivered or missed.

Environmental Factors

Environmental Factors

Filtering by students' preferred vs. non-preferred content, time of day, structure vs. non-structured classes or even rating interval helps campuses drill down to specific areas where more support is needed.

Measure Goal Mastery

Measure Goal Mastery

Easily connect behavior intervention or student support goal mastery criteria to the graphs available in the progress monitoring tool. Upload PDF versions of the report into IEP tools or email home as a progress report update of goal progression.

The Reviews Are In...
Monitoring progress, not perfection, one DBRC at a time! I love using the Emergent Tree software! It allows me to track multiple goals at once, makes it easy to send progress reports to parents, and students can also see their progress all in one place.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I individualize what students each user has access to?

Yes – each users access is completely customizable, including what students can be seen, what management features can be accessed and what campuses are available.

Can this be used on a mobile device?

The Progress Monitoring tool is a progressive web app, designed to work on a phone, tablet, or computer.  On mobile devices, the tool will flex to fit the available screen, and touch controls will be enabled.

Can parents get a login to the progress monitor?

As a security feature, only users with the district email domain can access student data. Along with all our other security features, this provides an extra layer to protect student data. But parents can see any of the data in one click using the email feature, as teachers can send graphs directly to parents as frequently as needed.

What if a student transfers to another campus?

Districts can connect the progress monitoring tool to their student records systems through ClassLink (or another OneRoster API) for the automatic transfer of student records. Or this can be done manually with a single click for those granted transfer manager access.
