Within a multi-tiered behavior system, the purpose of Tier 1 is to provide initial, quality instruction in the area of behavior expectations. A comprehensive Tier 1 system makes no assumptions regarding the skills and abilities students bring to the school environment. Rather, all students, regardless of culture, ethnicity, socio-economic or disability status, are taught the behavior skills they need to be successful in the school setting and beyond
Ground Work Tier 1 training provides campuses with a solid foundation upon which to build the rest of their behavior supports. Ground Work proactively addresses behavior needs therefore preserving valuable instructional time for academic content.
