Ground Work, A Framework for Tier One Behavioral Supports
This training is ONLY available to individuals for whom a campus team has already been trained. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to inquire about initial training.
Within a multi-tiered behavior system, the purpose of Tier 1 is to provide initial, quality instruction in the area of behavior expectations. Tier 1 comprises the behavior curriculum to be taught and reinforced with all students.
A comprehensive Tier 1 system makes no assumptions regarding the skills and abilities students bring to the school environment. Rather, all students, regardless of culture, ethnicity, socio-economic or disability status, are taught the behavior skills they need to be successful in the school setting and beyond. Ground Work Tier 1 training provides campuses with a solid foundation upon which to build the rest of their behavior supports. Ground Work proactively addresses behavior needs therefore preserving valuable instructional time for academic content.
This training is a one day refresher for campuses and districts with current implementation of Ground Work. Registration is recommended for administrators, teachers and new members of the campus Ground Work team. Participants will review their campus handbook for Tier One behavioral systems and processes.
Registration cost is $125/person.
