February 16, 2021 @ 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm

Free

In this webinar we will explore how social emotional learning (SEL) can be successfully embedded within multi-tiered systems for behavior support. Helping students develop skills in the domains of;  self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationships and decision-making not only improves the quality of life for individuals, but also builds a healthy school environment where all learners can thrive.

April Chatmon, is the Director of Social Emotional Learning and Guidance in San Marcos CISD. She completed her master’s degree in 2008 in School Counseling from Prairie View A&M University and is currently working on a doctoral degree in School Improvement from Texas State University. Her desire to serve all students is personified in her leadership of school counselors by ensuring equity and access for all students through the educational process. Her desire to build capacity and mentor educators as well as being a life-long learner are the pillars of her leadership style.
Join Emergent Tree in exploring the overlap and intertwining impact of social emotional learning and multi-tiered systems of behavior in holistically supporting students in schools.
