Exploring Behavior & Equity: How equity and anti-racist practice impact behavior in schools

Behavior is a broad concept that connects and relates to many important topics within education. Through conversations with guest experts, Emergent Tree Education will explore how behavior intersects with matters of equity, mental health, restorative justice, design thinking, social emotional learning, and trauma-informed practice.


The first event in our webinar series is “Exploring Behavior and Equity: How Equity and Anti-Racist Practice Impact Behavior in Schools”.  During this webinar we will explore how implicit bias, access to quality education and historical practices impact the perceptions of student behavior, the application of disciplinary practices and the education outcomes for all students. This webinar will be recorded for later viewing on the Emergent Tree Virtual Academy.


Our featured guest, Dr. Rachelle Warren is an experienced educator who has devoted her career to developing and impacting students at the classroom, campus and district levels.  She has serviced as a teacher campus principal district director and is current the Assistant Superintendent of Student Services & Support in Waco ISD.  Dr. Warren is passionate about teacher and learning and is an advocate for inclusion and equity create through policy and relevant professional development.
