Rhanda comes to Emergent Tree after 21 years supporting public school education. Most recently, she served as a campus administrator at the elementary and middle school levels. She began her career as an elementary school teacher and high school special education teacher.
After completing her Educational Specialist in School Psychology Degree at Baylor University, Rhanda worked served as a schoolpsychologist in urban and large suburban districts in Texas and Colorado. Her position as a school psychologist led to roles as the autism service coordinator and behavioral support team coordinator for her district. She closed out her time in Colorado in a multifaceted role organizing the professional development and learning for the special education staff in the district, coordinating the out-of-district services of students returning from residential or day treatment placements as well as building and implementing the Response to Intervention processes for the district.
Rhanda returned to Texas and continued to support teachers, students, and families as a special education administrator. Rhanda treasures every district and moment she has spent in the world of education and hopes to utilize her varied years of experience in systems development and love for helping teachers individualize and plan for all student and learner needs as she begins her time with Emergent Tree.
